Enjoyed a cool evening with a slew of lightning strikes 2 nights ago, although there was no rain or actual storm. I went outside with my recording equipment to try to record some thunder, but it was infrequent and the wind was picking up, making recording outside difficult. From what I did get, this snipit has an air conditioner, evening bugs, a train in the background, one car, and one thunder strike.

I have gobs of gigs of music on my computer and sometimes whilst wondering around in my /music directory I find music that
a) I have never heard of before because
b) I had no idea I had it
I found this in my world/folk directory and am enjoying listening to it at the moment. Now if only I could figure out where the hell I got it. Maybe it would help if I was fluent in French. Ah well. Enjoy

Here’s the problem with the self checkout lane at Wal-Mart: they’re slow and inefficient. Scan an item, put it in the bag, wait for it to weigh and verify the item, scan another item. Unless the weight is just ever so sliiiightly off, then its ‘please wait, assistance is on the way’. And don’t even think about checking out produce quickly. But I digress. This is a quick recording of a trip through the self checkout lane, luckily with no mishaps. Although the damn lady was speaking too loud, and the sound got a wee bit distorted I think.
