Project Gutenberg is a wonderful resource to find free ebooks, all of which (I believe) are in the public domain. In the top 100 section, I found on entitled Fifteen Thousand Useful Phrases by Greeville Kleiser. The work is interesting enough on its own, but I had forgotten how amusing it is to plug things into Altavista’s translating tool, Babelfish, have it translate to one language, and then back again into English (I recommend English -> Japanese -> English for best results). A fine way to waste a perfectly good afternoon. Observe:
